Chunky Pandey, known for his iconic portrayal of Aakhri Pasta in the Housefull series, is celebrating his 62nd birthday today, September 26. He first rose to prominence in the late 1980s, captivating audiences with his chocolate boy looks and charismatic screen presence, and has since become equally recognised for his exceptional comic timing. From his memorable debut in the 1987 film Aag Hi Aag, Chunky has consistently entertained viewers with his versatility, effortlessly transitioning between intense roles and comedic characters.

 

Chunky Pandey’s real name is Suyash Pandey, but over the years, his nickname Chunky became his identity in the industry. He made his debut with Aag Hi Aag and quickly rose to fame with his memorable performance in Tezaab, starring alongside Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit.

Despite often taking on supporting roles, his performances left a lasting impression. When Bollywood roles didn’t meet his expectations, Chunky turned to Bangladesh’s film industry, where he became a superstar.

After a successful 5-year stint, he returned to Bollywood in 2002, re-establishing himself with films like Qayamat, Rascals, Himmatwala, Humshakals, Saaho and Housefull 4, once again capturing the attention of Indian audiences.
